This club's main goal is to maintain the Motorsport enthusiasm in the Davis community. Although this city is not particularlly car friendly, we find many college students and long time residents are car enthusiasts. This forum will hopefully be one of the most helpful tools to keep this car community together. Please come in and contribute to our community for FREE!
Although our name says "motorsports" the scope of this club is beyond just racing. Come in and share your ride!
DMC Contingency Information

In order to get more people into autox, I am willing to throw down for a sort of contingency program ($$$) to get more members into autox. It will be plain and simple. (NOTE: YOU DO NOT NEED TO DO ANY OF THESE THINGS TO JOIN DMC)
Follow the rules, get good at autox and spread the word about DMC.
Here are the rules, and they are subject to change without notice.
1. Must write in davismsports.com on your sponsor list at each event.
2. Must participate in at least 3 events each year
3. May be required to run the davismsports.com sticker on your car
4. You are not eligible if you have over 10 events of autox/track experience
5. Must participate in either the Sac or SFR SCCA autox. (may consider BMWCCA, Lotus Club, and Porche Club)
6. By the end of the year you must be able to prove you brought ONE person to compete in ONE event in any of the above applicable regions.
7. You must show some kind of improvement (I am not going to be picky)
8. At least 5 people must complete in at least 3 events to be eligible for the contingency prize.
(9). If are you not already an SCCA member, you may be required to use my name and member number as your "reference". BTW my SCCA number is 390149 and my name is Alex Kang.
Since this is solely funded by me, and it comes out of my pocket, I cannot guarantee too much.
1st place - $50 in merchandise (car parts that I can aquire) or $35 cash (got this number from the entry fee for most autox events).
2nd place - $35 in merchandise (car parts that I can aquire) or $20 cash
3rd palce - $10 cash
4th place - Pat on the back (twice)
5th place - Pat on the back (once)
I am open to any feedback, or contribution to the cause.
In my HUMBLE opinion, the requirements are not hard to fulfill.
